Dr. David J. Myrfield
Dr.
Myrfield graduated from the University of Waterloo School
of Optometry in 1974 and immediately joined the practice
of Dr. Tom Allester here in Nanaimo briefly on Albert Street
in the Addison Building. Almost immediately they moved the
practice to a larger office in Beaufort Centre. In 1989,
well after Dr. Allester’s retirement in 1974, Dr. Myrfield
and Dr. Kellam moved to our current location on Waddington
Road.
Dr. Myrfield enjoys working in all aspects of family
eyecare. He has a special rapport with senior citizens and
children
alike. He has served in several capacities with the British
Columbia Association of Optometrists, including President
and Chairman of the Children’s Vision Committee
Dr.
Myrfield and his wife Ellen live in Qualicum Beach. They
have four adult children: Jeff, Alec, Graham, and Katie.
When not in his optometric office, Dr. Myrfield is active
in his church, the Malaspina Choir, and the Nanaimo Gyro’s
Club.
